Walk Like A Man by Suz deMello

This book has had a checkered history. It's always been a reader favorite after it was first published by Five Star for the library market. It came out briefly as an ebook, and will now be available in a boxed set, Falling in Love. Suz is so happy that her first manuscript will reach a whole new audience!
It's about macho quarterback Jim Wellman, who meets his match in bright, sassy physical therapist Marti Solis, who goads him out of his wheelchair, pushing him to walk again. Unlike every other woman Jim has wanted, she refuses to jump into the sack with the celebrity athlete. Though attracted to his bedroom smile and rugged good looks, she's intimidated by his fame and turned off by his arrogance.
Can Jim become the lover Marti needs? Can he learn to walk like a man?
Set in California's beautiful Napa Valley, this multicultural romance delivers humor and pathos, sparkling dialogue, layered characters, a heroine to root for and a hero who's pure fantasy.
Here's an excerpt of an encounter between Jim and Marti:
He unbuttoned his white dress shirt slowly, exposing his chest inch by inch. He pulled the shirt away from his body in one quick, dramatic snap of starched cotton.
She went weak with desire. He looked better than ever. Life in the mountains had made his rugged body more slim and defined. She ached to run her hands over his washboard stomach, kiss the whorl of hair spinning over his chest.
As he slipped off his trousers, she could see his cute printed boxers.
Marti grinned. “Hello, Minnie,” she said.
“Guess I did right by wearing the lucky boxers, hmm?”
He walked toward her. His bedroom eyes made her feel both hot and limp at the same time. His erection tented the silk.
He bent over her, fumbling with her small pearl buttons, ensnared in tiny loops. “Sweet Lord, this blouse!”
Her smile stretched wider. “What about it?”
“It’s a love-hate thing. You look so sexy in it that I want to rip it right off you.”
“Don’t you dare. It’s vintage lace.”
“I’ll be careful with each tiny little button. Almost as careful as I’ll be with you.”
While he removed her blouse, she pulled off her skirt, and lay revealed in more lace: her bustier and panties. The air, only partially warmed by the fire, felt good on her overheated body.
He flipped her over so she was on top of him. She couldn’t restrain a moan as he squeezed her buttocks. He moved his hands higher and unhooked her constricting bustier. He stripped it off her, tonguing her breasts as they escaped the cups. Sharp, jagged bursts of pleasure raced through her body and she pressed against him, pushing her sensitive nipples closer to the source of the ecstasy. He drew one firm tip entirely into his mouth in a long sucking bite that made her whimper with need. He gave the other breast the same treatment as he caressed her bottom. She rubbed herself against his shaft, delighting in his readiness.
